A Journey Through Biological Sciences
Accepted into the McNair Scholars Program
I am honored to be selected for the McNair Scholars Program, prestigious initiative that prepares high-achieving undergraduates for doctoral studies through intensive research experience and mentorship.
First-generation college student and researcher dedicated to exploring the complexities of life.
Moving from Turkey to the U.S. for my education has allowed me to embrace the flexibility of Biological Sciences. As a Mizzou Honors College student maintaining a 4.0 GPA, I focus on the intersection of biological research and ethical practice:
-
Ethics Bowl Regional Champion: Part of Mizzou’s inaugural team that secured 1st Place; representing Mizzou at the National Championships.
-
Research Innovation: Leading independent projects at BioMEL Lab, supported by a $5,000 research training grant.
-
Global Recognition: Selected for the 2026 Kinder-RAI Oxford Summer School cohort with a merit-based scholarship.
Beyond the Lab
When I'm not analyzing data or in the lab, you can find me on the fencing strip. I have been fencing Épée for three years and am an active member of the Mizzou Club Fencing team.
